Once before sleep. It will make your sleep dreamless and fast in coming. Be careful with it, though. Too often and it can be habit forming. There's worse habits out there, but you don't want to be dependent on it to sleep.
Yeah, just sort of assume it's a little bit worse than the usual is all. [Once the last was in, she let it cook and leaned against the table.]
Probably the most exciting potion I ever make is one of the egg bombs, at least if you like the 'on the edge of your seat, don't screw this up' sort of excitement. If you're more in for the flash, that's probably the pink stuff. It's actually kind of ... fun, even if I don't sell it right now.
Aengus' Kiss. It's a ... well, it's a drug that people can take that makes the senses really active, but it's not very good for paying attention to anything productive. It's more meant to be pleasant to drink.
[Ahem. Discussing aphrodisiacs, always fun.]
But, it's also really more the sort of thing people take with someone they're dating.
[One blink and then she sighed, laughing.] Yeah, sorry. Wasn't sure if you'd heard of them. I actually don't use it much, ever. Super aphro is kind of overwhelming, so on top of me being me... it's a little much for Asuka.
Yeah, they're ... well, you kind of need to be doing that to want one. It's not safe to sneak into someone's drink. There's sympathetic magic involved that protects them.
Well, there's this one part that you have to boil it off a little to get it it to the right thickness. It's late in the stages and you get kind of a contact high. It's not as potent as the real thing, though, so it's not as bad.
Makes the colors in the room dance a lot, though. I have to make sure things are ready beforehand or it doesn't get done right.
...that, and I have to use a little bit of black powder to crack one of the ingredients right at the start, so there's fireworks.
Small bit of them, yep. [She laughed and nodded. They were thinking of different types, definitely. Different worlds, different views.] Wouldn't mind showing you, but it gets a little trippy. Once this is set up right, I ... well, I've got enough stock to make one more potion of it. I'm not planning to make more before the war ends for obvious reasons.
[He should... probably stay away from the stuff entirely, really.]
But y'know, once the war's over, you might just end up with a decent bunch of customers lookin' for stuff like that. [Because really, what better way to celebrate and all that jazz?]
They might. I used to make them when the war was quieter, but there wasn't much call. Still, I know my supplier. We win this, and I can get enough for a few doses fast, make them up in a batch.
Eh? Well, yeah of course. I've still got a few tabs of acid in the supply stock, and I do grow a small amount of hash in the greenhouse, back behind the other plants. No need to have mooching stoners breaking in after all. It's not like I'm that expensive.
[She snickered.]
Let me know if you want to toke up sometime. It's been a while since I used to... heh, guy I used to do that with back home was green haired too, to boot.
Heh, fair enough. I'll probably still have them when this is all done if you change your mind. But I understand. It's not exactly something everyone's willing to do after all. Lot of folks had some sort of hangup about it back home.
'Cept there's certain people here who'd give me an earful. There's just no hidin' anythin' from them.
[The whole coma thing already brought up enough issues-- he doesn't want to push his luck. Especially knowing how poor it seems to be in the future...]
Heh, you can't hide hash anyway. Only pot-heads think you can. That smell sticks around for a day even if you don't smoke that much. So, if you've got a mother hen, it's better to avoid it yeah.
Heh, I'll probably get in a lot less trouble if I don't anyway. [She snickered at him.] We really don't have many pot-heads around here anyway, so it's mostly just a small private stash.
Stuff like that's hard to get where I'm from. I wonder if that's true in other worlds that have somethin' similar? Might explain why people are averse to it, at least.
Mmm? Oh, you just need to know where to look really. Most folks don't exactly know how to get this sort of thing if it's illegal since most people don't go to the black market or buy things out of the back of someone's van.

[And he will. It would be a pretty awful way to repay Ayumu for sticking with him otherwise.]
If some of these are so tedious to make, though, which ones are the most excitin'?

[That's a... descriptive name.]
What's that for?

[He's not really that naive.]
Bet that comes in handy with your relationship, though.

I figured someone would like it though.

[Because hahahaha relationships??? With other people????]
What's so fun about makin' it, then?

I was wonderin' if it might be somethin' like that! But fireworks, too? I can see why it'd be fun.

Not much call for aphro in a war.

[He actually looks mildly interested for a moment until he imagines the disappointed looks of both Ayumu and Eyes. And the subsequent lectures.
Mostly the lectures. Even weighing his options, it probably isn't worth it...]
...Unfortunately, I'm probably gonna have to pass.

[Ayumu's even got the cooking down.]
Thanks for offerin', though! You'll just have to enjoy it without my charmin' presence.
[SUCH A SHAME.]
