...It looked like they were planning to hunt us down. I need to get out of here.

[He has no doubt that if his double knew those things, it must have an idea of where he must be right now. And he's definitely not planning to stick around so it can find him, either.]

[Ayumu was going to ignore what that thing that looked like him said for now.

You have somewhere safe to hide? From the sound of it, they want to kill us and assume our identities.

[Ayumu was already rummaging around, grabbing the gun he'd borrowed only days earlier. Better safe than sorry.]

If I go to a place I know of, he'll probably just figure it out.

[The double certainly knew things - it's likely he would be able to reason out Hizumi's movements using that knowledge.]

At this rate, it's probably better to move around as randomly as possible.

[Even as he speaks, he's beginning to leave the apartments. That post went up some time ago, and who knew how close that... other Hizumi might be by now?]

He probably will. [Or find a secure location he can't enter..... but the chances of that were slim.]

I'll be doing the same. But I get the feeling we won't be able to run forever. [Not if these things knew them that well. There's the sound of shuffling, before Ayumu makes his way out the door.]

If they corner either of us, it's probably over.

[He'd seen that plan. If they really do have the power of Persona as well... Either way, he's not about to risk it.

But now that he's on the move... should he try the teleporter and move from there? Or would that be too predictable?]

We might have a better chance if we meet up, too. That plan of theirs... it works both ways. [But they'd also have less mobility. It was a toss up, and he knew it.... but they were dead if they were caught by them both on their own.]

[He's silent for a moment before nodding.]

In that case, you should come over to this side. We can move on from there.

I'll meet you at the teleporter. [Since going back to Hizumi's apartment was definitely not an option. They needed to get away from the apartments first and foremost.]

Yeah, see you there.

[And he will be waiting, one hand resting tensely on the hilt of his sword. He's eager to be out of here as quickly as possible, even though he realizes there's only so long they'll be able to evade their doubles...]

[It doesn't take long for him to get there, Hizumi's gun tucked in the waistband of his pants, beneath the heavy jacket he's wearing. He's just as eager to get out of here, mentally considering places they could go.]

Got a plan?

There's a few places... some streets I've taken a few times. I know where they lead, so there's no chance of us getting cornered, but they aren't places I normally go.

[He's already beginning to walk, setting a quick pace. They can discuss their options while they go.]

Of course, that guy might see through it... What about you?

We should hit the districts we visit least. Even if they predict it, they won't know where we'll go exactly either when we don't. [They'd go in mostly blind, but their.... other selves would be, too. He walks alongside Hizumi, keeping pace.]

It's a big city, and areas are still rebuilding. We can take advantage of that.

We should try to avoid being seen too much, though... I checked my COMP, and the other 'me' was having a private conversation with someone. It looks like it's normal for the doubles to have golden eyes, so he was trying to get help with finding me.

[Talk about terrible coincidence.]

[...That made things a bit more difficult.] Hopefully anyone who knows you will know better, but as for anyone else.... that might cause a mess.

....Think sunglasses might help?

I've never met that person before. He probably doesn't know any better.

[Hopefully he's not too overly helpful, but given he took the initiative to give that warning post in the first place...]

It might.

We can get a pair that completely obscures your eyes. It would alter the visible color. [Though some of these things might try the same....]

At this point, any pair will do. I think the supermarket nearby should have some.

[And with that said, he begins heading in that direction.]

[Ayumu heads after him, but when they get close, he stops Hizumi with a hand on his shoulder.] .... You should probably hide out here while I get them. People will know about the eyes.

[And Hizumi will obligingly pause, tilting his head only slightly to listen.]

...Alright. I'll wait around the corner.

[Ayumu nods, ducking into the supermarket and looking for the aisle containing the sunglasses. Once he finds them, he snatches up the most covering pair he can find and heads to the front to pay for it quickly.

If he seems to be in a rush, the cashier makes no comment about it. With the appearance of these things throwing people for a loop, it's no wonder either.]

[Hizumi seems to be lost in thought by the time Ayumu returns, but he quickly snaps back to attention once he spots him.]
