There's texture, but otherwise I might as well be eating air. On the bright side, I don't think it's poisonous or anything.

If you're trying to imitate something, most of the time it's only surface-deep, right? Because all you need is for it to look convincing even if it isn't real. So my guess is, they got the surface appearance figured out, but they don't know what the "insides" are supposed to be, or even if they do, they can't actually produce the genuine deal. So their copy just looks the part with some filler substance inside that doesn't amount to anything.

But that means they had to've seen the real deal sometime, right?

Whoever made it, at least. We can't assume the hosts of that particular game are the ones who have that knowledge, even if it's a definite possibility.

Fighting them is a bad idea when they're on the side that controls our abilities, but I've got to wonder how much of a risk coming here in person is for the hosts, or why they choose to host remotely versus in person...

They definitely ain't been showing up as much since she got hit.

Probably smart on their parts all considered, especially when some of the games they throw at us just make people that much more likely to act rashly.
