He remembers studying biology as a twelve year old. The textbooks he uses are definitely highschool level in spite of his age. It's all self-study, diligently taking notes - yet he almost seems to be enjoying himself. He's determined, yet hopeful.

He feels like if he studies hard, he might be able to make a difference in the world.
