Character Info: Here with a cw: suicide

Why would your character make a good (or bad) phantom thief? Hizumi is a highly talented individual - he’s a bonafide genius with a knack for quickly picking up anything he tries. He is incredibly intelligent, capable not only of learning high level materials, but also more active uses such as strategizing and creativity. He has athletic ability, able to outrun and outplay even a basketball team known for making it to nationals, with quick reflexes to boot. He even has a natural charm and charisma to him, understanding more or less how people work and react and using that knowledge to forge precisely the types of relationships that best suit his needs, whether that’s a simple friendship or something more businesslike. He’s pretty much a born performer, able to play all sorts of roles; from the the friendly unassuming class clown to something more sinister, he can swap between these “personalities” at the drop of a hat. As far as most tasks a phantom thief may need to tackle go, he’s well-equipped to handle most of them on his own.

On the other hand... because his talents originate from his fate as the Devil, he doesn’t really consider himself human. He firmly believes in his fate even if he despises it and finds it impossible to get close to anyone other than Ayumu. He doesn’t think it’s possible for anyone to understand him fully, yet arrogantly thinks he can see exactly what makes others tick. He holds his cards close to his chest, and though he may trust others to react in certain ways or be capable of certain duties, he never fully trusts anyone. Much of this is a result of his life being wrapped in secrecy; however, a good chunk of it is an attempt to mask how deep in despair he’s fallen. He knows that he’s doomed to a horrific death no matter what he tries, so focusing on surface level pleasures and connections is a great distraction from that, even if it means remaining emotionally distant from everyone around him. Unfortunately this also means his mental health is extremely fragile and, with the right combination of events, he’s liable to fall apart completely under the weight of his destiny. As far as thieving goes, this means he’s not going to be great at bonding with his fellow thieves closely, and may get overconfident in his skills only to be brought to heel when reality hits. Being on the verge of a breakdown is not precisely conducive to phantom thievery, either.

Specialization: Muscle GRIFTER

Starter thief outfit: Here!

Powers: Pseudo-immortality - Basically, things that absolutely should kill him do not. He can still be maimed and critically injured, but no matter the odds he’ll survive by a hair’s breadth (thanks to a miraculous gust of wind, or branches slowing his fall, etc.) and make a full recovery no matter how severe or scarring it should have been. Anything that should be an instant kill, such as a gun held to his head, will simply fail (the gun jams, for example). Divine luck itself seems to be on his side. The only one who can bypass this to kill him is Ayumu Narumi.
