Once upon a time he might not have realized how it might hurt her to hear it. Once he might have figured she'd be a little upset, maybe, but she'd get over it easily enough. Even thinking about that makes him feel guilty now.

I don't know how to explain it to her.... and I don't know how she'll handle it. Not well, but beyond that.....

[He draws back just enough to kiss Ayumu on the cheek his time, opening up a link through their crystals to send along feelings of comfort. Though he still speaks aloud, the feelings accompanying the words can easily be sensed.

It would be a lie to say there isn't any uneasiness, that he fully believes everything is going to go smoothly. He's hopeful, yes, but it's still a delicate situation, and his past has left him with a bit of wariness that isn't easily escaped.

But nevertheless, he does his best to push it aside, nuzzling at Ayumu's neck.]

[Being close to Hizumi like this helped in more ways than he was entirely sure he could vocalize. So he doesn't-- he lets the gratitude, love, and appreciation flow through in his thoughts sent Hizumi's direction.
