By not abandoning you, for one. More than anything, I think 'saving' you, looks like love, more than anything else. In the end, you have been starved of hope. Of honest devotion, bravery, strength and belief through a series of painful events.

. . . I understand why it would feel hard to want to keep moving after. Even I... have felt the painful thought that perhaps ending it all would be a cure to devastating hopelessness or pain.
